A few words about myself as you may wonder about the veracity of the information on this website about Oral Surgery, as practised in the UK.

My name is John Doran.  I am a fully-registered Oral Surgeon.  I work in hospitals (currently at Medway Maritime, Maidstone & Darent Valley Hospitals), teach at King’s College Dental School (in the Oral Surgery Department) and ‘outside’ on the High Street (I have worked for a number of corporates such as Boots The Chemist, Optical Express | The Dental Clinic and Oasis
Dental Care as an Oral Surgeon).

I carry out the ‘canon’ of oral surgical procedures as well as having a special interest in dental acupuncture, dental implants, dento-legal matters and forensic odontology.  I am also trained in the use of sedation.

I am also one of the Primary Care Specialist Oral Surgeons for Lambeth, Lewisham & Southwark Primary Care Trusts and West Berkshire Specialist Oral Surgery Service.
